Electron Electronics is a UK independent broad line electronic components and electronic parts, Audio, PA and Disco equipment distributor. We are official distributors for a number of manufacturers but do not have any formal written agreements in place (unlike Franchised Distributors). This allows us to choose which products we wish to stock, at what prices we wish to sell at and to what countries.

Where we are not an official distributor for a particular manufacturer we use other franchised suppliers to source products.

Our customers include manufacturers, (OEM's, CEM's), Educational establishments, trade, Resellers and hobbyists from all over the world.

We actually hold stock in the UK and we aim to ship all orders received by 2pm for in stock items that day either by 1st class signed for post or next day by 16.00hrs courier.

Orders over £30 are shipped carriage paid (UK mainland).

No minimum order charge.

History

Established in June 1984 by Noel Humphrey selling a small range of electronic components to schools and Colleges through an 8 page catalogue. It was Noel's College and former secondary school who encouraged him to set up the business. They were looking for a supplier who could offer a good range of components at competitive prices.

From a mailing address in Croydon the business has grown on a yearly basis. A web site was established in 1999 and by 2001 was accepting online orders and payment. Each year a catalogue is produced and mailed to schools around the UK. The 2009 catalogue is the biggest yet, extending to over 130 pages.

Through the internet a thriving export market has been developed and 2008 saw the highest level of export sales to date. The website and catalogues are developed in house and Noel is justifiably proud of the company's achievements including being awarded an ENVIBE silver award for environmental work.
