The LM3915N is an 18 pin DIL bargraph displays that have two modes of operation. In bar mode all LEDs indicating below the input voltage are on. In dot mode the IC will sequentially light 10 LEDs when a gradually increasing voltage is applied to pin 5. As there is a slight overlap at no time are all the LEDs off. The LED current can be set between 2mA and 30mA with a brightness control. Supply voltage between 3 and 18V. the ICs are stackable so displays with up to 100 or more LEDs are possible. The LM3915 produces -3dB steps.
